About Yorkshire Learning

Learning should prepare people to do something differently

Organizations invest in learning because something matters.

People may need to understand a new role, apply a complex process, make better decisions, build a new skill, or perform more consistently.

Whatever the need, effective learning requires more than well-organized content.

It requires clarity about what people need to know, what they need to do, and how learning can help them get there.

Yorkshire Learning helps organizations turn learning challenges into clear, effective solutions so learning delivers real results and grows with the business.

Our Perspective

What We Believe

Learning is most valuable when it connects to real work. Learning is not the business result by itself.

It helps people build the knowledge, skills, understanding, and confidence they need to perform. That is why we begin by understanding the challenge before recommending a course, workshop, or learning format.

We ask questions such as:

Our Beliefs

    Clarity before content

The strongest learning experiences begin before development.

We take time to understand the audience, the work, the desired outcome, and the environment in which learning will be applied. This helps organizations make informed decisions about what to build, what to improve, and where learning may not be the right answer.

The goal is not to create more content. The goal is to create the right learning for the need.

    Learning should move beyond knowing

Information is important, but understanding alone does not always prepare someone to perform.

When learners are expected to make decisions, complete a process, demonstrate a skill, or respond to real-world situations, the learning experience should help them practice and apply what they are learning.

We design with the intended outcome in mind, connecting content, activities, scenarios, and assessments to what learners are expected to do after the experience is over.

    Expert knowledge deserves thoughtful design

Many organizations already have the knowledge they need.

It lives in experienced employees, subject matter experts, leaders, practitioners, documents, presentations, and years of institutional experience.

The challenge is turning that expertise into learning other people can understand and apply without losing the depth, accuracy, or perspective that makes the knowledge valuable.

We partner closely with experts to organize complexity, identify what matters most, and translate specialized knowledge into clear learning experiences.

Our Foundation

Yorkshire Learning is a Veteran-owned business shaped by the experiences of Casey and Tori Stege.

Casey’s 20 years of service in the U.S. Army, where he retired as a First Sergeant, helped establish the values of service, discipline, accountability, and excellence that guide the company. Tori, Yorkshire Learning’s Founder and Learning Strategist, brings the perspective of a former professional athlete and holds a Master of Science in Education in Learning Design and Technology.

Together, those experiences shape how we work: understand the goal, design with purpose, and build learning that works.

Thoughtful strategy. Intentional design. Practical learning.

Our work is guided by:

  • Line graph within a computer window showing data points and a bar chart.

    Learning Science

We apply evidence-informed principles to support attention, understanding, practice, retention, and application.

  • Line drawing of a hexagon connected to a stylized human figure with arrows pointing outward in three directions.

    Context

Learning is designed around real-life decisions, responsibilities, environments, and challenges learners actually face.

  • Icons of a calculator, a pencil, a 100-dollar bill, and a speech bubble

    Collaboration

Stakeholders and subject matter experts remain involved throughout the process, with clear opportunities to review, align, and make decisions.

  • Icon of the sun shining over a mountain or hill environment.

    Clarity

We make complex information easier to understand without removing the depth or accuracy the work requires.

  • Six-star icons arranged in two rows with three stars each, with a star in the middle of the top row

    Quality

Every experience is reviewed for instructional alignment, consistency, usability, and readiness before final delivery.

Bring the challenge. We will help clarify the learning.

During a 30-minute Discovery Call, we will learn more about the organization, the audience, what is happening today, and what you are working toward.
